About Jason N. Young, Partner at Marks Balette Young & Moss

Jason's journey toward becoming a champion for the vulnerable began in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he was born. His deep-seated compassion for others led him first to Baylor University, where he pursued a strong foundation in science, majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. This scientific understanding, coupled with a year of training at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, instilled in him a profound respect for life and well-being. He then returned to Baylor, this time to pursue law, graduating and being admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2002.

Since then, Jason has dedicated his legal career to a deeply personal mission: representing victims of elder abuse and neglect, and their families. He understands the devastating impact these situations can have, the sense of betrayal and the erosion of trust. He knows that behind every case lies a story of a loved one who deserved better, who placed their faith in a system that tragically failed them. It's this understanding that fuels his tireless advocacy.

Jason's commitment extends far beyond state lines. He has fought for justice for families in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Washington, and Texas. He recognizes that elder abuse and neglect are not confined by geography, and his dedication to helping those in need transcends borders. His expertise has earned him recognition from Thompson Reuters as a Top Rated Medical Malpractice Attorney and a Texas Rising Star in 2008 and 2009. These accolades, while appreciated, are secondary to his true reward: making a difference in the lives of those who have been wronged.

While Jason's work takes him across the country, he finds strength and support at home in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Katy, and their two daughters, Addison and Anna. It is this foundation of family that reinforces his commitment to protecting the vulnerable and fighting for what is right. He brings this same sense of care and dedication to every client he serves, understanding that they, too, are part of a family, and deserve someone who will champion their cause with compassion and unwavering resolve.
