About Jacques G. Balette, Co-Founder & Shareholder at Marks Balette Young & Moss
Jacques G. Balette, a co-founder of Marks Balette Young & Moss, is a dedicated advocate for those catastrophically injured. His extensive experience and strong reputation have enabled him to represent clients in complex cases across more than 120 counties in over fifteen states.
Jacques's commitment to his clients, meticulous preparation, and exceptional trial skills have resulted in some of the largest verdicts and settlements in the United States. He has a distinguished record of success in a variety of practice areas, including nursing home malpractice, medical malpractice, tractor-trailer collisions, product liability, and breach of partnership. This success has consistently earned him recognition from his peers in the legal profession.
Jacques honed his courtroom advocacy skills through the prestigious Trial Advocacy Program at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. He began his legal career by spending five years as an insurance defense lawyer, gaining invaluable insight into the inner workings of the nursing home and insurance industries. From 1997 to 2004, while maintaining a full-time law practice, Jacques also served as an adjunct professor for the Trial Advocacy Program at South Texas College of Law, where he lectured and trained students in courtroom advocacy.
Jacques practices from both the Houston and Lexington offices.
